The festivities on Halloween were fun but just like last year, the Day of the Dead parade kicked ass. Hopefully next year I will make it down to Mexico for the long and elaborate festivities. There was a huge parade on 25th street and altars set up in the park. The dancing was so cool it made me feel really white and lame. People bring flowers, candles and pictures and set them on the altars to remember lost loved ones. I think it’s important to be comfortable with death and this is a good celebration of this inevitable part of life.
